These 10 NJ Stop & Shop Stores Have Closed
New Jersey officially has 10 fewer Stop & Shop stores. The 10 underperforming locations closed were among 32 nationwide that the grocer announced would be closing by year's end. Stop & Shop has kept 350 stores open, including 47 in New Jersey. These NJ Stop & Shop Stores Are Among 32 Underperforming Locations Slated For Closure
Stop & Shop has released a list of the 32 underperforming stores by the end of the year. The grocery giant in March announced that it planned on closing a number of stores "in the interest of company longevity," as previously reported by Daily Voice. Services have been set for Dennis John Frick, of Freehold Township, who died in a crash on Route 1 Wednesday, March 6. He was 65 years old. Visitation is on Sunday, March 10 for Dennis, who became a senior vice president with Heller Construction where he worked for 35 years, according to his obituary published by Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home. The funeral liturgy is on Monday at noon at St. Rose of Lima Church in Freehold. Dennis was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1977 to 1981 aboard the USS Preserver, his obit said. UPDATE: A New Jersey woman considered a pioneer of commercial diving instruction was sentenced Wednesday to a plea-bargained 27 months in federal prison for fraudulently obtaining more than $1 million in public funds to keep her Pennsylvania diving school in business.
