Uber Driver, Passenger Seriously Injured After Rear-Ending Dump Truck On Route 1
An Uber driver and a passenger were seriously injured after crashing into a dump truck on Route 1, authorities said. The crash occurred shortly before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, in the southbound lanes near New Road, according to South Brunswick police. The Uber driver ran into the rear of the truck which was stopped at a red light,, police said. Route 1 was closed for several hours. An investigation was ongoing.
