Paterson police detectives nabbed ex-cons with guns in two separate incidents -- one of which ended in a crash when one of them drove the wrong way up a one-way street. A Burlington County man was arrested on multiple drug charges after speeding away from Atlantic City police, crashing into two cars and then fleeing on foot into a marsh, authorities said. Julian Hinton, 27, of Delanco Township recently was released from prison, Atlantic City police said. Hinton was initially stopped by police at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday for several traffic violations when they found he has a suspended license and warrant out for his arrest, police said. Little Ferry Police Stop Turns Up More Than Three Pounds Of Pot, Motel Packing Operation
A Little Ferry police sergeant turned up more than three pounds of pot after stopping a Paterson driver, authorities said. Sgt. John Andronaco stopped a 2002 Honda Civic driven by Jermal Hogan, 27, after he ignored a stop sign on Bergen Turnpike at Lakeview Avenue shortly before midnight Tuesday, Police Chief James Walters said. Adronaco -- who was joined by Officers Michael Lee and Joseph Convery -- noticed a strong odor of marijuana when he approached the car "despite the window only being partially open," Walters said. A 34-year-old Monmouth County man was drunk when he plowed his SUV through the front window of a Dunkin’ Donuts in Old Bridge -- then tried to flee on foot, authorities said. Fair Lawn Girl, 3, Struck By SUV
A 3-year-old Fair Lawn girl walking hand-in-hand with her mom was struck Monday afternoon by an SUV driven by a 79-year-old Ridgewood woman, police said. The girl was knocked about 10 feet but wasn’t seriously injured after being struck on Plaza Road around 2:50 p.m., Sgt. Brian Metzler said. The mother, 38, wasn’t injured, Metzler said. Hackensack police busted a local drug dealer and his cousin after watching a deal go down, authorities said. Kisaac Martin, 33, a repeat offender who’s on probation for a prior drug conviction, used his 2009 Mercedes Benz to deliver crack despite having a suspended driver’s license, Capt.
