A 41-year-old North Carolina man was killed in a multi-car crash on the Garden State Parkway in Essex County early Wednesday, April 17, authorities said. Tarron Francis was heading north in a Nissan SUV when he was struck by a Dodge passenger vehicle around 12:45 a.m. in Irvington, said Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police. Man Injured In Crash Caused By 17-Year-Old: Montgomery Police
A 17-year-old Skillman resident was cited following a two-car crash that injured a 32-year-old Illinois man in Montgomery, police said. At 1:56 p.m., police responded to the crash at County Road 601 near Skillman Road. A 17-year-old from Skillman was traveling north on County Route 601 in a Lexus GX when he failed to maintain his travel lane while negotiating the "S" curve portion of the roadway, Montgomery police said in a release. Police ID College Student Killed In I-295 Crash
Authorities have identified the 20-year-old driver killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in Mercer County. Samuel Beale, of the Kenvil section of Roxbury, was driving a Nissan SUV northbound near milepost 60.6 in Hamilton shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, April 14, when he veered off the highway to the left and struck a concrete bridge support and guardrail, New Jersey State Police said. Beale was pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said. Beale was a sophomore economics major at Rider University in Lawrenceville, according to his LinkedIn.com profile.

A vehicle collided with an overpass in Elizabeth sending debris flying onto the streets below, officials said. The crash occurred on the New Jersey Turnpike above Elizabeth Avenue Monday evening, April 15. Police said it forced the closure of Elizabeth Avenue at 4th Street. The roadway reopened early Tuesday morning, officers said. No injuries were reported, authorities said.

Motorcycle Driver Crashes Into Cargo Van, Dies In Central Jersey
A Monmouth County man was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a cargo van, authorities said. William Eckert III, 54, of Eatontown, died in the crash on Monday, Apr. 8, according to a Shrewsbury police spokesperson. It happened at around 2:05 p.m. on Route 35, about 300 feet south of Sycamore Avenue. Eckert was driving a 2016 black motorcycle when he crashed into an unoccupied 2019 cargo van. Paramedics rushed him to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Police were investigating the cause of the crash.

Howell Township police said Route 33 was closed between Yellow Brook Road and Route 34 on Tuesday, Apr. 2 for a "serious crash investigation," the department said in a Facebook post.
