Central Jersey Wawa's Grand Opening To Feature Hoagie Competition, T-Shirt Giveaway
A Wawa is opening in Middlesex County and the convenience store chain will celebrate its 60th anniversary along with the new location, officials said. The new Wawa will be open at 451 Stelton Road in Piscataway on Thursday, Oct. 10, the company said in a news release. A countdown celebration will start at 7:45 a.m. before the store officially opens at 8 a.m. A grand opening ceremony will then be held at 8:30 a.m. The first 100 customers will get free "In My Wawa Era 60th Anniversary" t-shirts. Driver Dies In Fiery Overnight Central Jersey Crash: Prosecutor
One person died in a fiery crash overnight in Middlesex County. A Lexus that was traveling down Stelton Road struck the passenger side door of the Ford Focus turning left onto Mindy Lane around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, June 3 in Piscataway, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. The Lexus struck a utility pole and caught fire. The Ford Focus also caught fire. The driver of the Ford Focus was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman who died alongside her 9-month-old son after their car was found in a Central Jersey pond had been mourning the loss of her own father, according to her posts on social media. The bodies of Tamequa Robinson, 30, of Edison, and her baby boy were pulled from their car in Piscataway's New Market Pond around 5:35 Tuesday morning, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. First responders in Burlington and Middlesex counties were called to separate, serious pedestrian crashes early Friday, authorities said.
