43 Times: Serial ShopRite Shoplifter Busted In Stafford, Police Say A 28-year-old Forked River man was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 9 and charged with shoplifting from a ShopRite in Ocean County 43 times, authorities said. Daquan Nieves stole almost $1800 worth of merchandise from the ShopRite at 297 Route 72 West in Manahawkin over two months, Stafford police said. Nieves was charged with shoplifting and released pending a court date, police said.

On April 22, at 5:21 p.m., Stafford police responded to Costco Wholesale, at 219 Stafford Park Boulevard, for a report of a suspicious person. Police met with a complainant who said his 7-year-old child had been photographed by the man. An on-scene investigation revealed that the suspect had been involved in previous incidents at Costco. Waretown Man, 27, Killed In Stafford Township Crash An Ocean County man was killed Sunday when his Jeep struck two parked vehicles and a tree, authorities said. Thomas Ronacher, 27, of Waretown died after his northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee veered across several lawns on Nautilus Drive and crashed near Quadrant Road, Stafford police said in a statement.  The vehicle wasn't discovered until 6:48 a.m. because it left the roadway in a poorly lit area of the Ocean Acres section of town, they said.
