Authorities have identified the North Carolina woman who was killed by a train in South Brunswick on Veterans Day, officials said. Emily Price of Durham, NC, was named as the victim of the crash, an Amtrak spokesperson said on Monday, Nov. 18. The 43-year-old was struck between Jersey Avenue and Princeton Junction at around 9:35 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11. None of the 110 customers and crew members on the train were injured. A woman died when she was hit by a train in South Brunswick on Veterans Day, officials said. The woman was struck between Jersey Avenue and Princeton Junction at around 9:35 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, a New Jersey Transit spokesperson said. Her identity wasn't released as of Tuesday, Nov. 12. Car Rolls Over Man Trying To Prevent GF From Leaving In South Brunswick, Cops Say
A 46-year-old man from South Brunswick was hospitalized after a car rolled over him as he sat in front of it in an attempt to prevent his girlfriend from leaving, police said. The man and his 37-year-old girlfriend were arguing outside of a Harvey Road home around 7:30 a.m. Monday, July 8, when the man sat in front of the vehicle, according to police. A tractor-trailer became fully engulfed in flames on New Jersey Turnpike in South Brunswick. New Jersey State Troopers responded to the truck fire on Tuesday, July 2 at 12:40 p.m. on the south outer roadway milepost 77.4 in South Brunswick Township, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesman. Upon the trooper’s arrival, the International tractor-trailer was fully engulfed in flames. There were no injuries reported, Lebron said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available.
