New Jersey's Attorney General has identified the scooter driver killed in a Monmouth County crash and the police officer involved in the wreck. Guyvenson Innocent, 35, of Beachwood, died in the crash on Monday, Apr. 15, the state Attorney General's office said in a news release on Wednesday, May 1. An arrest has been made in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead over the weekend in Ocean County, authorities said. Mark Carey, Jr., 19, of South Amboy, is believed to have been driving the 1999 Ford Explorer that struck a female pedestrian in the shoulder of Route 35 south and Bay Avenue in Brick Township around 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, Prosecutor Bradley D. Bicyclist Struck By Car In Toms River: Police
A bicyclist was struck by a car in Toms River, authorities said. At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, police units were dispatched to the intersection of Route 35 S and Fifth Avenue for a reported motor vehicle accident with a bicyclist. The initial investigation revealed the driver was traveling southbound on Route 35 South in the left lane and turning left onto Fifth Ave when she collided with a bicyclist who was riding northbound, on the east shoulder of Route 35 South against traffic, police said. Middletown Bank Robbery Suspect Charged With Stealing $8K
A Middlesex County man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery that took place in Middletown, authorities said. Miguel A. Angeles, 42, of Perth Amboy was charged with first-degree armed robbery, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago. A 27-year-old Monmouth County man was driving with a suspended license and was intoxicated when he caused a head-on crash that claimed the life of an 82-year-old man in June, NJ Advance Media reported.
