Occupant Ejected In Garden State Parkway Rollover
A victim was in traumatic arrest after being ejected in a rollover evening rush-hour crash at the northern end of the Garden State Parkway, responders said. New Jersey State Police summoned a medical chopper following the crash on the southbound parkway at mile marker 166.8 Pascack Valley Toll Plaza in Washington Township shortly after 5 p.m. Given the severity of the injuries, they opted to have the unconscious, unresponsive victim taken by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center. UPDATE: A knife-wielding Ridgewood man who'd just fled a domestic violence assault was bent on suicide-by-cop when officers seized him during a tense Easter Sunday night standoff in a Paramus parking lot, authorities said. Keith Hanlon, 41, had been arrested on a domestic violence charge this past Christmas and was almost immediately released by a judge in Hackensack under New Jersey's bail reform law, records show. Scottie Scheffler's time as reigning Masters champion is over. The Bergen County native finished in a tie for 10th place at the Masters Tournament after winning the tournament last year. Scheffler shot a -4, eight strokes behind the winner, Jon Rahm. Scheffler got off to a hot start at the tournament in round 1, but stumbled in round 2, carding a +3. Two determined Glen Rock detectives identified, located and charged a Queens man with the vicious robbery of a 66-year-old Bergenfield man last spring in the parking lot of the warehouse where he works.
