14 NJ Businesses Newly-Barred From Practicing For Shortchanging Workers: DOL
An additional 14 New Jersey businesses have been barred from practicing for short-changing workers and other violations, bringing the total to 82, according to the state's Labor and Workforce Development Department. The businesses — which were named to the NJDOL’s Workplace Accountability in Labor List (the WALL) — owe a collective $956,000 in wages and penalties to the state and their employees. The Princeton University campus is mourning the passing of one of its treasured ballerinas, Sophia Jones. The Chicago, IL native died on campus on Wednesday, Nov. 29, the university said. Man Crushed To Death Between Car, Garage In Princeton: Police
A 61-year-old man was killed when he was pinned against a garage by a backing car, authorities said. Meliton Hernandez-Morales of West New York died of his injuries at the scene of the crash at about 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, Princeton police said. Huimei Qiu, 53, of Princeton, was backing down a residential driveway on Red Hill Road when Hernandez-Morales, who was in the driveway, was struck, police said. Hernandez-Morales was pinned against a detached garage, they said. Qiu was not hurt and no summonses had been issued. The investigation is ongoing.

A New Jersey nursing home closed suddenly on Friday, Sept. 1, and only notified residents' families that morning — leaving them with just hours to relocate, as first reported by Planet Princeton. Authorities have identified the 44-year-old pilot killed in a helicopter crash on Thursday, Aug. 31. Josef Yitzhak of Israel died in the crash, South Brunswick police said. "We worked with Israeli Consul and Israeli police overnight to notify his family," police said on Twitter. Police Chief Raymond Hayducka extends his deepest sympathy to the pilot's family.
