Fire Destroys Home At Toms River Trailer Park
Police in Toms River are investigating a serious fire that destroyed a home at the Roberts Mobile Home Park on the 2200 block of Route 9, authorities said. On Thursday, Feb. 16, at approximately 3 p.m., police and fire crews were dispatched to the active fire. The caller attempted to alert the homeowner of the fire as they believed that he was still inside, Toms River police said. A 25-year-old Clifton man is charged with stabbing his 22-year-old cousin to death on New Year’s Eve. Motasem Ramadan fought with police who arrested him following the fatal stabbing at a home across the street from a city elementary school around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, authorities said. Officers responding to the two-family home on Van Cleve Avenue near School No. 12 found Waleed Ramadan with multiple stab wounds to his neck and face, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Virginia Walmart Shooting: Seven Including Gunman Dead In Rampage, Police Say
A shooting rampage left seven people dead including the gunman at a Chesapeake, VA Walmart Tuesday, Nov. 22 — just two days before Thanksgiving, authorities said. Police used tactical force to enter the Battlefield Boulevard Walmart at Sam's Circle on reports of an "active shooter" at 10:12 p.m., and found multiple bodies, a Chesapeake police spokesman told reporters. Authorities later confirmed seven victims, including the shooter, and one person near the entrance of the store.

Car Thief Kills One Person, Hurts 3 In Wild Central Jersey Pursuit: AG
A car thief being pursued by police crashed into several civilian vehicles killing one person and hurting three others overnight in Central Jersey, authorities said. A Marlboro officer was pursuing the car stolen from a local home when it struck unrelated civilian vehicles around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Spring Valley Road and Route 9 South, the State Attorney General's office said. A thief was steps from fleeing with a fellow traveler's wedding band at Newark Airport when TSA and Port Authority officers teamed up to catch him, authorities said. Told that the ring was missing from a screened bin, a Transportation Security Administration supervisor reviewed surveillance video and saw the thief snatch it, the TSA's Lisa Farbstein said. There was an attempted car theft at a home near Gov. Phil Murphy's mansion near the Navasink River in Middletown, authorities said.
