Disturbing new details have come to light in the arrest of 42-year-old David Chun, a Palisades Park police officer. Chun, 42, of South Hackensack, was arrested Monday, July 22 on a slew of charges stemming from multiple assaults on a woman in Hasbrouck Heights between 2019 and 2023, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. What at first seemed like a run-of-the-mill package theft led Palisades Park detectives to an organized theft ring that used bogus IDs to buy high-end luxury cars, authorities said.
