Pedestrian Hurt In North Bergen Hit-Run A 32-year-old pedestrian was hurt in a hit-and-run crash in North Bergen Thursday, Oct. 13, authorities said. The victim is believed to have been struck by a dark-colored vehicle heading north on Tonnelle Avenue around 10 p.m. at 85th Street, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Man Struck, Killed By Car While Crossing Street In Hudson County: Prosecutor A 64-year-old man was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street in Hudson County, authorities said. Angel Ruano, of North Bergen, was hit by a 2005 Honda Civic traveling south on Tonnelle Avenue and 69th Street around 5:55 a.m Tuesday, Sept. 6, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Ruano was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he died about an hour later. The 46-year-old driver from Bronx, NY was not injured and stayed at the scene, authorities said. Rasheen Bostick was found with a gunshot wound to the torso near Crescent and Belmont avenues in Jersey City around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 12:55 p.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. Prosecutor: One Man Dead, Another Injured In Jersey City Shooting One man was killed and another injured in a Jersey City shooting Thursday evening, authorities said. Niles Holmes, 35, was shot multiple times near MLK Drive and Wilkinson Avenue just after 4:15 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Holmes, of Jersey City, was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead just after 6:10 p.m., Suarez said. A second victim, a 24-year-old Jersey City man, sustained two graze wounds to the arm and was treated at Jersey City Medical Center, Suarez said.
