A 36-year-old woman from Virginia has admitted driving under the influence during a fatal crash in Ocean County, authorities said. Michelle Roselli, of Spotsylvania County, Virginia, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, April 26, to vehicular homicide, assault by auto and DUI, they said. A 23-year-old fugitive wanted in an Ocean County fatal shooting at a hookah lounge has been caught in Virginia, authorities said. Eric Manzanares, of Asbury Park, a fugitive from justice relative to the murder of Nymere Tinsley, 25, of Brick Township, has been apprehended in Prince William County, Virginia, they said. Toms River Man Found Dead In Water: Prosecutor
The body of a Toms River man reported missing was found in a body of water on Thursday, March 28, authorities said. John Applegate, also known as “Bubby," was found in an area of water between Lakehurst Road and Route 37, after having been missing since Friday, March 24, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. A probe by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office found that the Lavallette Police Department did incomplete background checks on new hires and required officers to use their own cell phones on emergency calls. A fire at a Toms River apartment was blamed on smoking near a mattress, authorities said. The 64-year-old smoker was seriously hurt in the Tuesday, March 7, fire, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. Death Of Man In Toms River Fire Due To Smoke Inhalation
An autopsy on the 76-year-old man killed in a fire in Toms River has ruled his cause of death was asphyxia due to smoke inhalation, authorities said. The examination and investigation concluded that Billy Kimbrough’s death was accidental and possibly due to smoking in bed, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. His body was discovered in a structure fire on Roberts Road in Toms River Township on Thursday, Feb. 16. Investigators concluded that the fire originated on a mattress in the bedroom of the residence.

A series of small fires is being investigated as suspicious in origin by Ocean County authorities.
