Carjackers Who Led Wild Route 78 Pursuit Had Heroin, Firearms, Three Magazines: Police
More than a dozen decks of heroin, firearms and several magazines were seized following an armed carjacking and wild Route 78 pursuit, leading to the arrest of four Newark males including two teens Thursday, July 7, authorities said.
Tysean Ware, 19, Raheem Pamplin, 21, a 16-year-old male, and a 17-year-old male, were being held on various charges as of Friday, Newark Interim Public Safety Director Raul Malave said.
It began around 1 p.m., when police responded to the 200 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue for an armed carjacking, Malave said.

The execution of a search warrant at a home in the East Ward led to the arrests of Justin White, 25, and Julio Rodriguez, 54, on Tuesday, April 26, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said.

Thirteen shooting suspects were arrested and 29 illegal weapons were recovered in the month in Newark, authorities said Friday.
The men were arrested for various incidents since Oct. 1, and the weapons were linked to incidents that occurred in the last two-week span, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said.

Three people are facing charges after being caught spray painting a mural and words onto traffic boxes in Newark, authorities said.
Police saw Alexa Lipke, 25, of Green Brook, writing graffiti on traffic light boxes at Broad and Franklin streets near City Hall on June 28, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said. She was arrested on graffiti and drug-related charges.
