$10K Reward Offered In Murder Case Of Newark Grandmother The Essex County Sheriff's Office is offering a $10,000 reward for  information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for killing a Newark grandmother on her front porch. Debra Derrick, 63, was shot on the front porch of a home on the 200 block of Lehigh Avenue, while celebrating her late twin sister around 8 p.m. on March 11, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office previously said. Prosecutor: Essex County Woman, 27, Fatally Shot In Newark A 27-year-old Essex County woman was shot and killed in Newark Thursday evening, authorities said. Rachel Swisher, of Newark, was fatally shot in the area of Halsey Street and West Kinney Street around 7:30 p.m., acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, Stephens said. Newark Man, 32, Shot Dead In Broad Daylight A 32-year-old Newark man was shot and killed in broad daylight Friday, Oct. 30. Joshua L. Ward was shot on the 700 block of Clinton Avenue around 3:10 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said. He was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead approximately 20 minutes later. No arrests had been made as of Saturday morning police said. Know Them? Trio Sought In Fatal Newark Stabbing Authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying and finding three people wanted in connection with a fatal Newark stabbing. The individuals were are wanted in the Oct. 10 killing of Mario Esquivel Lopez, 28, of Newark, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F.
