Firefighter Injured In Rutgers Barn Blaze
A firefighter was injured battling a fire in a storage barn at Rutgers University in North Brunswick, authorities said. The fire broke out at about 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 11 at the Horticultural Farm property at Rutgers Gardens, according to a university spokeswoman. The building was unoccupied at the time, she said. The fire was contained to the barn with assistance from local fire departments. Driver, 30, Dies When Car Plunges Into Central Jersey Lake
A 30-year-old New Brunswick resident died after driving into Lake Nelson, authorities said. Alquan Green was driving north on Metlars Lane at 6:51 p.m. Saturday, May 13 when his SUV crashed through a guardrail and landed in the lake, Piscataway officials said. Green was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries. Piscataway Township Police Department Patrol Officers Lance LeBrew, Michael J. A trooper was flown to a local hospital after being rear-ended by an SUV in Sussex County Tuesday afternoon, state police confirmed. The trooper was sitting in a troop car with emergency lights activated parked along the side of Route 655 in Frankford while assisting with a crash when the car was hit from behind by a Chevrolet Equinox just after 3:50 p.m., NJSP Tpr. A fatal crash is under investigation on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. Erratic, Unconscious Driver Crashes On Route 24 In Morris County
An erratic driver went unconscious after swerving off Route 24 and hitting a guardrail in Morris County Sunday morning, authorities said. The driver of a red Ford Bronco was operating the vehicle erratically on Route 24 westbound in Florham Park when they ran off the roadway near milepost 3.2 and struck the center median guardrail around 11 a.m., Police Det.
