10 Heat-Related Incidents Hospitalize 4 During Jersey Shore Half-Marathon Ten people suffered heat-related incidents at the 50th annual Jersey Shore half-marathon in Sandy Hook over the weekend, authorities said.  Four runners were taken to the hospital from the popular race on Sunday, Oct. 1, according to a National Park Service spokeswoman.  Six other racers refused medical attention, the spokeswoman said.
