An Englewood man faces 30 years to life in prison after jurors in Hackensack convicted him of murder for a second time for shooting an aspiring rapper and then setting his body on fire. Randy Manning was originally found guilty and sentenced to life in 2014 for killing Rhian “Kampane” Stoute in Englewood three years earlier. Paterson Shop Owner Killed Man With Shotgun Blast During Dispute, Authorities Reveal
UPDATE: An ex-con killed a fellow Paterson resident with a shotgun blast to the chest during a dispute at his city smoke shop last weekend, authorities revealed Thursday. Calvin King, 47, shot Kyheem Clark, 34, at the shop near the corner of East Main and Hillman streets shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday, May 6, with a shotgun he wasn’t allowed to possess, they said. Two men from Elizabeth have been charged in last September's murder of 17-year-old soccer player Paul Baez, authorities announced. Tyreek Howard, 31 and Ali Karim, 18, are accused of having shot the teen multiple times on the 100 block of Fulton St., around 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 27, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel said. A convicted Jersey City drug dealer who'd previously served state prison time on a gun conviction must spend the next seven years in federal prison for having the weapon and ammo he used to shoot and wound a rival, authorities said.
