Lifelong Hunterdon County resident Sarah E. Henschel died suddenly on Wednesday, June 8 at the age of 28. Born in Flemington, Sarah grew up in Whitehouse Station and graduated from Hunterdon Central High School, her obituary says. Sarah then went on to graduate from Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg before attending Philadelphia University, now known as Thomas Jefferson College, according to her memorial. Hunterdon Central High School junior and varsity lacrosse goalie Alexea Karpinski died Nov. 21. She was 17. Born and raised in Raritan Township, Karpinski was known for her love of sports, particularly lacrosse. She played as goalie for the Hunterdon Central Red Devils as well as for the Triple Threat Elite Club Team, her obituary says. Karpinski had a goal of playing D1 lacrosse while pursuing an exercise science degree. She wanted to become a professional athletic trainer, her memorial says. Local Students Donate PPE To Hunterdon Medical Center
One high school in Hunterdon County has donated several boxes of gloves and more than 1,600 surgical masks to a local medical center in the last week alone, reports say. Hunterdon Medical Center received 45 boxes of gloves and approximately 1,600 surgical masks from Hunterdon Central High School, where they had been stored as surplus supples from health offices throughout the district.
