NJ Ex-Con's Stash Of Assault Rifles, High-Capacity Ammo Seized, Police Say
A 50-year-old New Jersey ex-convict is facing multiple charges after police responding to a call for service found assault rifles, high-capacity magazines, and more stashed in safes in the home, authorities said.
Bloomingdale officers had responded to a local home on Sept. 19, when they discovered two safes, " which officers reasonably believed contained illegal firearms," the department said in a news release.
In the following days, the Detective Bureau conducted a follow-up investigation and executed two search warrants on the safes, owned by Omar Dudley, police said.

A 50-year-old Jersey Shore man was charged with multiple drug and weapons offenses after a police raid on his home, authorities said.
On Monday, Nov. 28, just after 6 a.m., the Brick Township Police Department made a warranted search on a residence in the Maple Leaf Condominium Complex.
The warrant was the result of a drug investigation by the Street Crimes Unit and yielded an illegally possessed .40 caliber handgun, two high capacity magazines, ammunition, and over 100 grams of cocaine, Brick police said.

A report of a man with illegal weapons brought the Bergen County Bomb Squad and local police to a quiet Oakland neighborhood where the 67-year-old owner was taken into custody without incident, authorities said.

A convicted sex offender who was wearing body armor when he crashed his car was found with several loaded weapons, high capacity magazines, hollow point bullets and more Sunday in Ocean County, authorities said.
A Mantaloking officer responded to the single-vehicle crash near the 1200 block where he found Jeremy W. Barringer, 46, of Toms River around 3 a.m., local police said.

Authorities: Springfield Man, 57, Made Assault Rifle, Possessed Explosives
A 57-year-old man from Springfield Township has been charged with illegally manufacturing an assault weapon and possessing high-capacity ammunition magazines, silencers and explosive devices, authorities said.
Thomas Locker manufactured the main components of an AR-15 assault rifle in his home in Springfield, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said in a statement.
