US Marshals Capture Jersey City Man's Accused Killer In Virginia
US Marshals captured a suspected New Jersey killer in Virginia, authorities said.
Jersey City's Brandon Montauge, 24, is being held in Newport News, Virginia, pending his extradition back to New Jersey following an investigation into the fatal shooting of 34-year-old Tyreef Robinson, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Thursday, March 9 following his arrest.
The shooting was reported shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 4 in Jersey City.

A Linden dad called relatives to say he'd shot his wife and two teen children, before turning the gun on himself over the weekend, authorities said.

Two NJ Elected Officials Killed Week Apart
Just one week after the shooting death of a 30-year-old Sayreville councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour, another elected official died the same way.
Russell Heller, 51, a Republican councilman in Milford, was gunned down at work — a PSE&G parking lot — in Somerset on Wednesday, Feb. 8, authorities in Somerset County said.
The suspect, former PSE&G employee Gary T. Curtis, 58, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound just more than an hour later, authorities said.
An admired senior distribution supervisor, Heller had more than 11 years of service with PSE&G, the company said.

Men Who Killed 17-Year-Old Jersey City Girl Get Prison Time
A pair of men charged in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old Jersey City girl were sentenced to state prison on Friday Jan. 27, authorities said.
Alterik Ellis, 29, and Travis DeFoe, 32, both of Jersey City, were sentenced to 35 years in New Jersey State Prison for the 2018 shooting death of Jade Saunders in Jersey City, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.
Ellis and DeFoe were each convicted at trial of murder, theft and weapons offenses, Suarez said.

Tributes are pouring in for Temara Sarafina King, the Jersey City schoolteacher and beloved mother police say was fatally shot by her husband earlier this week.
