Police in Franklin Township are investigating after flags were lit on fire on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 7, authorities said. At 8:23 a.m., officers responded to a property on DeMott Lane and found two custom flags, along with the mounting hardware, damaged by fire, Franklin Township police said in a release. Days after a crash that killed a teen girl, officials in Hunterdon County are looking to make the intersection where she died safer with the installation of a stop sign. Police have identified the victim of a crash early Thursday, Aug. 22 in Hunterdon County as a 16-year-old girl.
