Route 46 Crash Takes Down Traffic Signal, Utility Pole (Photos) A crash on Route 46 brought down a traffic signal and utility pole over the weekend, authorities said. The Dover Fire Department responded to the crash at Mt. Hope Avenue and Route 46 in Dover and confirmed a downed pole on Saturday, April 16, authorities said. Crews worked to mitigate a fluid spill as the NJDOT was requested to replace the signal, the department said. Route 46 was temporarily closed as the crash scene was cleared. Serious Crash Reported In Monmouth County (Developing) Firefighters, police and EMS crews were called to a serious crash with injuries on the Jersey Shore, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The crash occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday, March 4, on Pinckney Road in Red Bank, initial reports said. There were injuries and a fluid spill, an unconfirmed report said.
