Suspended Driver In Stolen Car Leads High-Speed Pursuit Before Crashing In Toms River: Police A 40-year-old suspended driver in a stolen car led police on a high-speed pursuit through Toms River before crashing into another vehicle stopped at a light, police said. Toms River police officer Michael Weg saw a driver later identified as Dylan Panatero in a car reported stolen out of Bridgewater with dealer plates at a traffic light on Route 37 around 11 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, local police said. Pedestrian Airlifted After Being Struck By Toms River Police Car A 42-year-old man was hospitalized after being struck by a Toms River police car Sunday, May 29, authorities said. The man was trying to cross Fischer Boulevard at Adams Avenue when he was struck around 10 p.m., local police said. He was flown to Jersey Shore Medical Center for treatment. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI Unit responded to the scene. The accident is currently under investigation.

Dead Body Found Hanging In Toms River Woods Multiple police agencies responded to a report of a dead body found hanging from a tree in Ocean County, authorities said.  The body was reportedly found about 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the woods near Fischer Boulevard and Hooper Avenue, according to initial reports.  Toms River police were treating the death as a possible suicide, according to an unconfirmed report.
