UPDATE: Five minivan occupants had to be hospitalized -- three of whom were extricated by police -- following a multi-vehicle crash that closed the northbound Palisades Interstate Parkway on Saturday for nearly an hour and a half, authorities said. Firefighter Injured In Pre-Dawn Englewood House Blaze
VIDEO: A firefighter was injured in a pre-dawn blaze Wednesday that gutted an unoccupied Englewood house, responders said. The firefighter was taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center shortly after 4 a.m. after slipping and falling, Fire Chief Erik Enersen said. Fort Lee PD: Pedestrian Struck By Shuttle Bus After Ignoring Signal, Crosswalk
A 24-year-old Fort Lee jaywalker was hospitalized with a serious head injury after she was struck by a shuttle bus, authorities said. The victim ignored the pedestrian signal and was struck by the Ford shuttle bus on Anderson Avenue north of the crosswalk at Columbia Avenue shortly after 8:30 a.m. Monday , Capt. Dumont Pedestrian Struck In Cresskill, Demarest Driver Cited
A 40-year-old pedestrian from Dumont was struck and injured crossing a Cresskill street Tuesday night, authorities said. A Cresskill Fire Department EMS unit took her to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening after a 2011 Mercedes Benz hit her on County Road at the intersection of Union Avenue just after 6 p.m., Detective Sgt. Jason Lanzilotti said. The 66-year-old driver from Demarest received a summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk, he said.
