A Newark man is facing multiple charges for shooting another man after a fight in May, authorities said. Alfuquan Huey was arrested on a warrant Wednesday, June 8, on Broad Street, Interim Newark Public Safety Director Raul Malave said. A Taco Bell drive-thru restaurant in Newark was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight Tuesday, leading to the arrest of the 25-year-old perpetrator, authorities said. A distressed boy who had wet his pants got help from a compassionate police officer in Newark. Newark Police Officer L. Ciesla found the boy near Broad Street and Branford Street, the city’s department of public safety said Tuesday. Authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for the killing of an 18-year-old Bergen County girl in Newark. McKayla Perri, of Lyndhurst, was shot on Broad Street near 3rd Avenue in Newark Saturday evening, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II said.
