Monmouth University pollsters have tried to answer a question that has been hard to solve for many in the Garden State: Where is Central Jersey exactly? The Monmouth University Polling Institute released a survey on Tuesday, Apr. 16 that asked New Jerseyans what region they live in and if they believe their region gets a fair share of state resources. UPDATE: A former New Jersey state wrestling champion who made national headlines when he came out was sentenced to a plea-bargained seven years and three months in federal prison for trafficking child pornography. An Ocean County man was accused of several "smash-and-grab" burglaries along the Jersey Shore, authorities said. Todd Lansing, 46, of Brick Township, was charged with two counts each of third-degree burglary, third-degree theft, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools. Brick Driver, 54, Killed In Wall Township Parkway Crash
A 54-year-old driver was killed when his vehicle veered off the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County on Thursday, March 14, State Police said. Joseph Pace, of Brick township, was heading south in a Hyundai when he rear-ended a Jeep SUV in Wall Township near milepost 100.3 just after 3:05 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. The man accused of murder in a triple shooting at a Toms River hookah lounge will have to stay in jail through his trial. A judge ordered on Thursday, Feb. 22 that Eric Manzanares, 24, of Asbury Park, will remain detained in the Ocean County Jail pending his trial, county prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced.
