UPDATE: Five Ridgefield Park men – two of them brothers -- are charged with beating a Fair Lawn man outside the Satin Dolls nightclub in Lodi and then dumping him onto Route 17, where he was struck and killed.

A fleeing Hackensack driver crashed a luxury car during a Maywood police pursuit, injuring an off-duty officer, then tried to keep going before he was captured, authorities said.
Christian Valentin, 20, had two people with him when he drove his BMW M4 on the wrong side of the road while passing a vehicle that he’d been tailgating near Passaic Street and Maywood Avenue, Police Chief Terence Kenny said.
Seeing this, Detective Christopher Nichols tried to stop him, the chief said.

An 22-year-old Old Bridge soccer player died when he rear-ended a tractor trailer stopped at a red light on Route 9 early Saturday morning, reports say.
Miguel Reis was behind the wheel of a black 4-door BMW when he struck the tractor trailer, which was stopped in the southbound lanes at the Ferry Road intersection, around 3:40 a.m., RLS Media reports.
The incident occurred just as the light was turning green in the center lane, the outlet says.

A brand new BMW, jewelry, handgun, ammunition and luxury items purchased using stolen funds were seized from two individuals -- the latest to be charged in a massive money laundering scheme, authorities in Middlesex County said Thursday.
Shemar Rogers, 22, Tariah Darby, 22, both of New Brunswick, stole more than $250,000 from more than 50 victims in a massive money laundering scheme, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.

Two East Orange men attempting to steal a BMW in Morris County early Saturday morning were caught in the act, police said.
Miles Cotton, 18, and Talazhue E. Bennett, 20, were seen by a resident on Brittany Road in Montville attempting to steal a 2018 BMW around 3:10 a.m. Saturday, township police Chief Andrew Caggiano said.
