Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Bus In Tenafly
An elderly pedestrian was struck and killed by a commuter bus Sunday afternoon in Tenafly, authorities confirmed. The woman, 72, was struck by a northbound New Jersey Transit Bus as she crossed Highwood Avenue, just north of Hillside Avenue, at 3:54 p.m., Tenafly Police Capt. Michael deMoncada said. The victim as taken to Hackensack University Medical Center in critical condition, where responders said she was pronounced dead. The No. 166 bus to Cresskill from New York's Port Authority bus terminal apparently was turning right when it struck and ran over her, according to witnesses. …

UPDATE: A man found slumped over the wheel of his SUV outside a Hackensack laundry over the weekend apparently died of natural causes, authorities said. Responding officers found the 64-year-old victim in the driver's seat of his 2009 Infiniti FX3 outside Family Launderette on Kinderkamack Avenue off Jefferson Street near Route 4 on Sunday, said Capt. A motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash near the Meadowlands in East Rutherford early Wednesday evening, responders said. The victim, 25, from West New York went down on the ramp from southbound Route 120 to eastbound Route 3 across from the American Dream shortly after 5 p.m., East Rutherford Deputy Police Chief Phillip Taormina said.
