Tributes are pouring in for Kean University graduate and passionate New Jersey musician Eric James Ubl, who died at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton on Tuesday, June 13 at the age of 34.
A lifelong performer at heart, Eric grew up in Edison, his obituary says. He learned to play several instruments — piano, cello, acoustic and bass guitar, drums, and various brass — but could just as easily captivate audiences with the unique quality of his voice. He performed with groups including Pandora’s Promise, Midnight Mosaic, and Exit 10.

Shock, grief and anger continued to spread with the news that a construction worker who died when a driver crashed his SUV into an Apple store in a Boston suburb was from Passaic County, NJ.
Kevin Bradley, 65, of Wayne was apparently moving a barrier outside the store with co-worker Vince Ruotolo of Maywood when Ruotolo said his pal’s life “was cut short” on Monday, Nov. 21.

Cops Use ‘Find My iPhone’ To Nab Suspect Who Sped Off In Stolen Car During Morris County Stop
A suspect who fled from police in a stolen vehicle was later found with help from Apple’s “Find My iPhone” function.
Justin Leuzarder, 39, was stopped for speeding on Route 10 in Denville around 4:25 a.m. on Sunday, August 14, police said.
Leuzarder, of Morristown, sped away as the officer was heading back to his patrol vehicle, initiating a brief chase that was quickly terminated because his identity was already known, police said.
Leuzarder’s vehicle was found a short time later near Dover-Chester Road in Randolph, where it was found to have been stolen out of Sea Girt, police said.

Guilty: Sussex County T-Mobile Worker Stole More Than $11K In Electronics, Prosecutor Says
A former Sussex County T-Mobile store worker admitted in court Tuesday to stealing more than $11,000 in devices, authorities said.
Tre M. Jenkins, of Stanhope, pleaded guilty to theft at the Sussex County Virtual Courtroom in Newton, Prosecutor Francis A. Koch said.
Jenkins stole numerous iPhones, Air Pods, Samsung Galaxy phones, and Apple watches totaling more than $11,000 while working at Woodbury Wireless in Newton, Koch said.
The store has since closed its doors permanently, according to its business and Google Maps pages.
Jenkins is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday, April 8.
Heroes: Stolen $3,000 Intended For Wayne Food Pantry Recovered, Returned, YMCA Cleaner Charged
A cleaning company employee swiped $3,000 in cash and gift cards intended for the poor from the Wayne YMCA, but local investigators came to their rescue, authorities said.
Danny Figueroa, 37, of Paterson took two sets of Apple AirPods, one set of Samsung earbuds and a set of master keys to the facility in addition to the $3,000 earmarked for the Wayne Interfaith Network Food Pantry, Detective Capt. Dan Daly said.
