Hundreds of thousands of wall beds have been recalled over concerns they could detach and cause serious injuries. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled some 129,000 Bestar Wall Beds over concerns of “serious impact and crushing hazards,” the organization said on Thursday, April 7. The beds have the potential to detach, fall and injure people, the CPSC said. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled children's bathrobes. The Jan. 12 recall includes the China-based HulovoX 100% micro-polyester children's robes. The bathrobes failed to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s clothing, posing a risk of burn injuries to children. Amazon Outage Impacting Netflix, Alexa, Ring
Amazon's web hosting subsidiary apparently suffered a worldwide outage Tuesday morning. Reports of the Amazon Web Service outage began rolling in around 10:20 a.m., DownDetector.com shows. The outage caused a ripple effect across platforms that rely on AWS such as Alexa, Amazon Music, Netflix and Disney Plus. “Reports indicate there may be a widespread outage at Amazon Web Services, which may be impacting your service,” it says. Nearly 28,000 users had reported an outage as of 12:30 p.m. Amazon was apparently investigating.

A Glen Rock resident lost more than $10,000 in an Amazon telephone scam, authorities said. Amazon is on the verge of a deal for a massive office space in Jersey City, Bloomberg reports. The e-commerce company is interested in 400,000 square feet of office space in the Harborside 1 building on the Jersey City waterfront, the news outlet says citing sources familiar with the deal. Amazon Hiring For 8,700 Positions Across NJ
Amazon is looking to hire 8,700 employees for fulfillment centers in New Jersey. Compensation is between $18 to $22.50 an hour with health, vision and dental benefits available for full-time employees, according to a press release.
