The president of Mexico has confirmed that all six victims killed in the Learjet 55 crash in Northeast Philadelphia on Friday, Jan. 31 were Mexican citizens. Fire Rages At Fort Lee Apartment Building
UPDATE: No serious injuries were reported in a raging fire that destroyed an apartment building near the George Washington Bridge. Two volunteer firefighters were hospitalized with relatively minor injuries from the six-alarm fire on Hudson Terrace in Fort Lee, which ignited Saturday afternoon, continued through the night and collapsed portions of the five-story brick building. Authorities initially feared the worst when a resident was unaccounted for, Mayor Mark Sokolich said, but that tenant apparently is out of the country. Fort Lee Man Jumps From Cliffside Park Balcony
A Fort Lee man was hospitalized with various fractures after jumping from a Cliffside Park balcony Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. The 35-year-old man was smoking a cigarette when he abruptly jumped feet first from a relative’s balcony two stories above the parking lot of an Anderson Avenue apartment building off Edgewater Road, Deputy Police Chief Vincent Capano said. The man, who has a history of mental trouble, hit a car, which broke the driver’s side mirror as well as his fall, Capano said. He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with leg and pelvic injuries.
