Woman, 75, Shot In Paterson
A 75-year-old woman was shot in the face in Paterson, authorities confirmed. Police found the wounded victim near Rosa Parks Arts High School and the Federation Apartments high-rise off the corner of 12th Avenue and East 27th Street shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday. She'd actually been shot near the Sussman's Drugs at the corner of 10th Avenue and East 26th Street, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. A 75-year-old woman was hospitalized and 59 other apartment house tenants evacuated during a three-alarm fire in Ocean County, authorities said. The fire gutted a third-floor apartment at George J. Conway Towers on Chambers Bridge Road on Saturday, according to Brick Township police. At 1:56 p.m. on Saturday, Brick police and area firefighters received a call from a resident who smelled smoke and heard a smoke alarm sounding from a neighbor’s housing unit. : Secaucus Police Officers Revive Woman, 75
Three Secaucus police officers came to the rescue of a 75-year-old woman having breathing problems, now recovering well at the hospital. Officers responding to a 9-1-1 call found the woman lying down and turning blue at a home at the 600 block of 9th Street around 6 p.m. Nov. 1, Chief Dennis Miller said. First on scene was Officer David Delseni, who performed "rescue breaths" on the victim. Her conditioned worsened, though, and she soon became unresponsive.
