Police were looking for whoever shot and killed a Whitesboro man in Woodbine, authorities said. Daquann Smith, 22, died in a shooting on Friday, Oct. 25, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Jersey Shore School District Offers Support After Student Hospitalized In Apartment Fire
A Monmouth County school community was rallying to support a family whose child was severely injured in an apartment fire, officials said. A Wayside Elementary School student was in stable condition at a hospital, Township of Ocean School District superintendent Kelly Weldon said in a letter to families on Monday, Oct. 28. Child Hospitalized After Being Saved By Firefighter In Monmouth County Apartment Blaze
A child was hospitalized with injuries suffered in a two-alarm fire that ripped through a Monmouth County apartment complex Saturday, Oct. 26, authorities said. Firefighters were called to the 1400 block of Rustic Drive in Middlebrook, for a report of a fire inside one of the building’s apartments around 2:15 p.m., a spokesperson for the county prosecutor's office said. One of the New Jersey State Police Department's highest-ranking troopers is being investigated over remarks he allegedly made about the state's attorney general, the general himself confirmed. Matthew Platkin issued a brief statement about the investigation of Lt. Authorities have released details and identified the man killed by police on Saturday, Oct. 19in Burlington County. Officers responding to smoke coming from a Pemberton home on Woodland Avenue around 3:20 p.m., New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin said. A man died when he was struck by a New Jersey Transit train in Red Bank, officials said. The pedestrian was hit by a southbound North Jersey Coast Line train No. 3241 at the Monmouth Street crossing at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. A Wildwood woman died after an early morning crash on the Garden State Parkway in Port Republic, authorities said. Audrey McCash, 75, was killed in the crash on Saturday, Sept. 28, a state police spokesperson said.
