Woodbridge Native Opens 4 'Sopranos' Inspired Coffee Shops In NJ

Bada Bean Cawfee, a coffee shop inspired by hit HBO show "The Sopranos," is opening four New Jersey locations.
Woodbridge native and entrepreneur Drew Adelman is teaming up with Peter Pannullo, of Holmdel, to bring Bada Bean to Woodbrige, Toms River, Montgomery and Newark.
Their first store -- which was seasonal only -- opened on the Seaside boardwalk in 2018, but has since closed to focus on year-round shops.

Now that the Houlihan’s restaurant on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights hasn’t made it to New Year’s, some are wondering: Which one is next?
Earlier this year, the company that owns the chain closed its Weehawken location, along with one in Lawrenceville.
It was closing time again on Sunday, this time for its Route 17 sister, which had been in business for 21 years alongside a stretch of highway that included fellow restaurant/bars Biggie's and The Crow’s Nest, as well as IHOP, White Castle and Sonic, among others.

Community Rallies For Franklin Woman Killed In Crash
A GoFundMe page has been started for Michaela Powell, one of three women killed in a motor-vehicle crash in Woodbridge over the weekend.
The 23-year-old was in a vehicle with friends Uchechukw Chukwuma, 24, and Brianna Martinez, 23, when the Nissan Altima they were riding in rear-ended a tractor trailer on Rt.1 around 11:50 p.m.

Instagram Video Shows Vibrant Victims Moments Before Deadly Woodbridge Crash
Chilling videos posted to Instagram show the three victims of a late-night Woodbridge crash singing and dancing just moments before they died, the New York Post originally reported.
“These are all of my high school friends," said Michaela Powell, who posted the snippets to her Instagram page. "These are the people I grew up with."
