Intoxicated Jersey City Man Roaming Bayonne Apartment Building Had Cocaine, Knife: Cops A 47-year old Jersey City man was arrested on Monday, Nov. 27 after police in Bayonne said he had drugs on him, along with a "shank type" blade. At 12:32 p.m., police spotted Rubin Jackson roaming the halls of an apartment building at Avenue C and 32nd Street, officers said. Jackson could not explain why he was inside the building and officers believed he was under the influence of an intoxicant, police said. A search of Jackson yielded cocaine, narcotics paraphernalia, and the blade, police said. Police said Jackson "could not provide an acceptable justification for possessing" the blade. …

The teenager was stopped at 6:30 p.m. near West Simpson Ave, Lt. Christopher Guenther said. An investigation led to the recovery of a loaded, defaced handgun with a high-capacity magazine, Guenther said. The teenager was charged as a juvenile with multiple weapons charges, including second-degree possession of a handgun.
