New Milford PD: Wanted NYC Driver With No License, Registration Or Plates Assaults Officer, EMT
A driver wanted on outstanding warrants was jailed after he brawled with New Milford police, kicked an EMT and spit in an officer’s face, authorities said.
Thomas Overton, 19, of the Bronx had no license, registration – or even license plates -- when Officer Daniel O’Neill stopped him in a BMW on New Milford Avenue near Main Street shortly before 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Capt. Kevin Van Saders said.
Overton immediately “became confrontational with the officer and would not provide the requested paperwork,” the captain said.

One person was hospitalized and both were charged following a fight that broke out at a Warren County QuickChek, authorities confirmed.
Officers responding to the dispute at the Mountain Avenue store in Hackettstown found Eric Boe, 55, of Great Meadows, sitting on the ground and bleeding from his face as William Diaz-Santiago, 35, was holding him down around 2:25 p.m. on Monday, June 13, local police said.
A follow-up investigation found that Diaz-Santiago, of Hackettstown, was riding his bicycle when Boe tried to “clothesline” him off of it, according to police.

Seen him? Authorities have issued an alert for a Warren County man with autism who has been missing for several days.
Robert Bechaud, 31, was last heard from by his family on Thursday, June 9 around 7:30 p.m., Mansfield Township Police said in a release on Monday, June 13.
Bechaud has a slim build with a trimmed goatee and beard, short crew-style haircut and tattoos on his left forearm, barbed wire tattoos around his right bicep and a heart over his heart, police said.

Warren County Woman, 59, Made Fake Police Report, Filed Bogus Insurance Claim: Prosecutor
A 59-year-old Warren County woman who made a false police report and filed a bogus insurance claim about a stolen pickup truck has been charged, authorities said.
Silvana Saleh, of Rose Lane in Hackettstown, told officers that her 2012 Chevy pickup truck was stolen from her barn when she was gone sometime between Friday, April 29 and Sunday, May 1, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said in a release with local officials on Friday, June 3.
The truck was subsequently entered in the national crime information center as stolen.
