: AG's Office Reviews Death Of Cyclist Hit By Unmarked State Police SUV In Northwest NJ
New Jersey authorities are conducting a mandatory review of a fatal crash involving a State Police trooper and a bicyclist in Warren County earlier this week. The bicycle was seen on its side on the road's shoulder behind the unmarked black Ford Explorer that hit it on Willow Grove Street (Route 604) outside the Hackettstown Senior Housing Development off Brook Hollow Drive an hour before sunrise on Monday, Feb. 5. Nebraska Sex Offender Sent Explicit Messages To 11-Year-Old NJ Girl: Prosecutors
A 23-year-old Nebraska man and registered sex offender was recently arrested and charged after he sent sexually explicit texts to an 11-year-old girl in Warren County while posing as a 13-year-old boy, authorities said. Daniel Boesch used Snapchat to communicate with the girl, an investigation initiated by the Loptacong Township Police and the Warren County Prosecutor's Office last summer revealed, Warren County Prosecutor James Pfeiffer said. The National Weather Service has released snow totals from the latest winter storm. In New Jersey, the most amount of snow from the Friday, Jan. 19 storm appears to have fallen in Hopewell Township (Cumberland County) and Mount Royal (Gloucester County), where 6.5 inches of snow were reported. Atlantic County: Dorothy, a section of Weymouth, got 6.4 inches, the most amount of snow across Atlantic County. The Popeyes will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Jan. 12 at 4 p.m. while the Arby's will be opening on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Yet another December rain storm has come and gone, leaving many New Jersey towns under water. According to the National Weather Service's Philadelphia/Mount Holly office, between one and three inches of rain fell across the area, ending early Thursday, Dec. 28. The town that got the most amount of rain is Washington Township (Warren County), with 3.38 inches, the weather service said. A North Jersey man already facing time in federal prison was sentenced to more time in State Prison for sexually abusing a teen Boy Scouts of America counselor in training nearly a decade ago. Colin Skeele, 37, of Florham Park, was sentenced to 18 months in New Jersey State Prison for the abuse, which occurred at the Boy Scouts Camp NoBeBoSco in Hardwick Township, when he was 26 years old, Warren County Prosecutor James Pfeiffer said.
