Woman Struck By Vehicle Driven By 85-Year-Old Man: Summit Police A 73-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle in Summit on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 31, authorities said. At 12:45 p.m., the woman was crossing the alleyway at the entrance to the Tier Garage at 426 Springfield Ave. when she was struck by a 2021 Jeep Cherokee driven by an 85-year-old man who was traveling east on Springfield Avenue and turned right into the alleyway leading to the garage, Summit police said in a release. Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Belleville: Authorities A 78-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in Belleville on Friday, March 22, authorities said. At 8:53 a.m., Teresita Cenit was hit by a car while walking on the 100 block of Union Avenue, Thomas Fennelly, a spokesman for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.  She was transported to University Hospital in Newark where she was pronounced dead soon after, Fennelly said. The driver remained on scene, Fennelly said. The crash remains under investigation.

The Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to the crash in the lot of Joanna Foods on Johanna Farms Road in Raritan Township just before 11:10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, they said in a Saturday evening release. Pedestrian Killed On NJ Turnpike A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on the NJ Turnpike in Mercer County Saturday, April 16, authorities said. The crash occurred on the northbound side of the highway in the outer roadway at milepost 68.4 in East Windsor around 12:25 p.m., New Jersey State Trooper Alejandro Goez said. The driver of the car that struck the victim remained on scene and was not injured while the pedestrian was pronounced dead, Goez said. The right two lanes were closed for accident investigation.
