NJ Capitol Rioter Known For Hitler Mustache Ousted From Military
A contractor to the US Navy has been ousted from the US Army Reserves for his participation in the Capitol Riot on Jan. 6, according to federal officials. Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, 31, of Monmouth County -- know for his Hitler mustache -- was in federal custody in Washington, D.C. awaiting trial, according to court documents released by the US Department of Justice. Med School Student Center Named For Westfield's Dr. Derrick Nelson
The late principal of Westfield High School widely praised for his service in the military and for his dedication to the students in his charge has received another honor, a Roseland law firm announced Thursday. Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, which is located at Seton Hall University in South Orange, has named its student life center for Derrick Nelson, who died in April after he fell into a coma following a bone-marrow transplant procedure. Westfield High Principal Died After Donating Bone Marrow: Report
Dr. Derrick Nelson, the beloved Westfield High School principal who died Sunday night, had fallen into a coma after a bone marrow donation procedure, NJ.com reported Tuesday. Nelson agreed to undergo the procedure to help a 14-year-old in France, according to an account in the school's newspaper. Nelson, 44, who was named principal in 2017, had served in the district's schools for several years. He had also worked in the Plainfield and Orange schools before coming to Westfield.
