Plainfield Homicide Unsolved Seven Years Later, Person Of Interest Sought: Authorities
It has been seven years since Shamar Coleman was fatally gunned down in Plainfield and police are still attempting to solve his murder. On Dec. 29, 2016, Plainfield police responded to Seafood Rama and found Coleman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Plainfield Police Director James Abney said. Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Police ID Body Found In Creek At East Orange Park
A 68-year-old man was found dead at a park in East Orange on Thursday, Dec. 7, authorities said. Frank Vergilio's body was found in a creek at Watsessing Park around 5:40 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and the Essex County Sheriff’s Office said. Vergilio was pronounced dead approximately two hours later. A pending autopsy will determine his cause of death. The investigation is active and ongoing. No arrests have been made. Trenton Girl, 9, Was Reaching For Mom After Being Struck By Stray Bullet: Report
SeQuoya Bacon-Jones was not crying when her mom found her bleeding on the sidewalk last week. The 9-year-old Trenton girl was laying on the ground, moaning, reaching out for her, Shea Bacon-Jones tells CBS Philly. SeQuoya was playing at the Kingsbury Square courtyard around 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, when she was struck by a stray bullet, authorities previously said in a press release. Newark Man Gunned Down In Irvington
A 34-year-old man died in an Irvington shooting Monday evening, authorities said. Kevin L. Williams, of Newark, was found with multiple gunshot wounds on the 100 block of Cleremont Avenue around 7 p.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. : Police Seek Clues Decades After North Jersey Businessman’s Body Found In Sewer
Investigators continue to search for clues more than three decades after the body of a beloved North Jersey businessman was found in a sewer in Morris County. The body of Robert Wunderle, 45, was found by a Rockaway Township Sewer Authority worker in a drainage ditch near Fireman’s Field on Beach Street in Rockaway Borough around 9:10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 1989, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
