Pair Charged In Shooting Death Of Union County Man: Prosecutor
Arrests have been made in the shooting death of 22-year-old Emmanuelle Florestal, which occurred last October, authorities in Union County said. Ahmad Conde, a 19-year-old Elizabeth resident, and Ducarmel Georges, a 19-year-old Brooklyn resident, have each been charged with first degree murder, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel said. More than 20 pounds of fentanyl and an additional 9,000 doses of the deadly drug were seized with the arrests of eight members of a major trafficking ring that operated on both sides of the Hudson River, authorities said. Elizabeth Dog Fighting Accident Leaves 2 Pit Bulls Dead, 3 Women Hospitalized
Police opened fire on two of five fighting pit bulls who bit three women Tuesday morning, March 21 at their Elizabeth home, authorities said. Police were called to the Amity Street home when the dogs attacked a person who tried separating them, according to the Union County Prosecutor's Office. Police shot and killed two of the dogs. The three women who were bitten were hospitalized in unknown condition, authorities said. Their condition was not immediately known.

Elderly Victim Sexually Assaulted After Putting Out Her Trash In Union Township
A 37-year-old Bronx, NY, man was found guilty of sexually assaulting an elderly woman in Union Township, authorities said. Richard Darby was found guilty on Friday, Jan. 20 of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, burglary and aggravated criminal sexual contact following a three-week trial, according to Union County Prosecutor William A. A 44-year-old Roselle man was shot and killed in broad daylight over the weekend in Rahway, authorities said. Jack Harris was found suffering gunshot wounds on the 1400 block of Witherspoon Avenue around 12:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said in a statement. Members of the US Marshals Service captured a New Jersey man wanted for murder in Philadelphia, authorities said.
