Unlicensed Motorist, 81, Drove With Flat On Route 287 Median: Franklin Lakes PD An unlicensed 81-year-old out-of-state motorist drove an unregistered sedan on the grass median of Route 287 before she was stopped by police, authorities said. Franklin Lakes officers responding to a call found the Rhode Island woman driving at a slow speed in the right lane of southbound Route 287 just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16, Capt. Robert Grassi said. Little Ferry Police K-9 Unit Turns Up 150 Heroin Folds During Route 46 Stop A Ridgefield Park driver was busted by Little Ferry police with 150 folds of heroin after he was stopped for tailgating on Route 46, authorities said. Osman Hoti, 40, denied Officer Joseph Convery consent to search the 1999 Honda, so he alerted Lt. John Andronaco, who responded with K-9 Timmy, Police Chief James Walters said. Hoti "showed signs of extreme nervousness," the chief said. "His hand were shaking uncontrollably." Fair Lawn Police Pursuit Into Paterson Ends In Arrest A driver from Plainfield who was chased by Fair Lawn police after he fled a traffic stop Thursday morning was captured by Paterson officers, authorities said. Fair Lawn Officer Tiller Uriarte stopped a 2015 Chrysler van driven by Anthony Jenkins, 53, on Broadway at 29th Street around 10 a.m., Sgt. Brian Metzler said. Uriarte was returning to his patrol vehicle after an initial conversation when Jenkins hit the gas and took off, the sergeant said. The officer pursued him through Elmwood Park into Paterson, then broke it off out of safety concerns in the area of Sparrow Street, Metzler said.…
