Truck Veers Off I-287 In Central Jersey (

A vehicle veered off of Interstate 287 in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 7:30 a.m. on Friday, May 10 northbound near Exit 4 (Durham Road) in South Plainfield, according to New Jersey State Police. Troopers responded to a motorist aid, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesman. Upon the trooper’s arrival, a Freightliner box truck ran off the road and into a ditch, he said. There were no injuries reported, Lebron said. Two right lanes of three lanes were closed causing traffic delays, 511nj.org reported.

A four-vehicle crash with injuries was delaying traffic on Interstate 295 on Wednesday morning, May 8, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:50 a.m. on I-295 northbound near Exit 65 (Sloan Avenue) in Hamilton Township, according to the NJDOT and New Jersey State Police. Based on a preliminary investigation, a collision occurred between four passenger vehicles, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a NJSP spokesman. A crash on Route 78 resulted in serious injuries and a traffic diversion early in the morning on Friday, Oct. 7, state police said. The crash, which involved serious injuries, occurred in the eastbound lanes near milepost 24.8 in Tewksbury just before 6:10 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told DailyVoice.com. Traffic was being diverted from the area for the investigation as of 10 a.m., Curry said.
