Careless Bus Driver Strikes 13-Year-Old Girl, Father: Police
A 13-year-old girl and her father were hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Rahway on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 10, authorities said. At 8:23 p.m., the two were crossing the intersection when they were struck by the NJ Transit bus, which was turning from Elizabeth Avenue onto West Scott Avenue, Rahway police said. A six-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle in Linden on Friday, May 24, authorities said. The girl was struck while crossing W. St. George Avenue, Linden police said in a release. Two people were killed in separate crashes in South Brunswick including a motorist from South River and a motorcyclist from Pennsylvania, authorities said. At 8:05 p.m., troopers responded to Route 287 north in Morristown Township, Troy McNair, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police, said.
