A group of Englewood police officers nabbed one juvenile with a stolen handgun and another with a knife after chasing both down, authorities said. The pair bolted when confronted by officers responding to a report of a robbery on Second Street at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, Englewood Deputy Police Chief Matthew de la Rosa said. Englewood Resident Carjacked, Fleeing Juveniles Captured In Paterson
Two 17-year-olds who carjacked an Englewood resident at gunpoint overnight Wednesday were captured in Paterson a short time later by city police and New Jersey State Police troopers. The 52-year-old victim told police the two masked robbers took his Hyundai Elantra at the Rock Creek Terrace Apartment complex shortly after midnight Nov. 1, Detective Lt. Fred Pulice said. An Englewood man was robbed at gunpoint in front of his children during a weekend walk, said authorities who turned to the public for help identifying those responsible. Bergenfield Man, 20, Charged With Firing Toy Gun Water Pellets At Englewood Pedestrians
A 20-year-old Bergenfield man fired a gel blaster that hit two people crossing an Englewood street, authorities said. Jason Suarez was identified as the person responsible for firing the water beads from the paintball-type toy gun, which struck the pedestrians as they crossed East Palisade Avenue around 8 p.m. Sunday, May 7, police said.
