At 12:45 p.m., the woman was crossing the alleyway at the entrance to the Tier Garage at 426 Springfield Ave. when she was struck by a 2021 Jeep Cherokee driven by an 85-year-old man who was traveling east on Springfield Avenue and turned right into the alleyway leading to the garage, Summit police said in a release. Landscaper Struck By Car, Seriously Injured In Summit An 84-year-old landscaper was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a car in the morning Thursday, Sept. 15 in Summit, authorities said. The man was working at a nearby property when he was struck between Summit and Morris avenues at Walnut Street around 10 a.m., local police said. Unconscious Man, 35, Dies Outside Summit Train Station: Police A 35-year-old man died at a train station in Summit overnight, authorities said. The Summit man was found unconscious at the bus stop outside the station around 2:50 a.m. Friday, August 12, Summit Police said. Officers immediately began performing CPR and administering Narcan on the man, who was later pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The man’s official cause of death was pending an autopsy but did not seem to involve foul play, police said. His identity was not released.
