An MBA fellow at Rowan University has designed an app to enhance the security of students at the Glassboro campus. Siena Rampulla was a victim of an off-campus break-in in March 2022, as reported by Daily Voice. Jorge L. Navaheredia, 29, of Sicklerville, had broken into several women's homes including Rampulla's, according to Glassboro police. He was caught hiding under a kitchen sink with panties, police said. Students Show Up At Wrong Jersey Shore Address Playing 'Dangerous Assassins Game': Police
Students at a Jersey Shore high school have been pretending they are assassins as a senior prank, authorities said. But in one case, a "senior assassin" went to the wrong address to shoot another student with a water pistol, according to Holmdel police. Man Grabs Student Walking To School In Morristown, Police Say
Know anything? Police are seeking information and surveillance footage on a suspicious man who approached and grabbed a student who was walking to school in Morristown. The male student was approached from behind by a man while walking to school near Sussex Avenue and Mills Street in the morning on Monday, Oct. 17, the Morristown Department of Public Safety said in a Facebook post. UPDATE: Authorities gave the all-clear for Hackensack High School students and staff to return after a bomb threat phoned in from out of state cleared the school. The "swatting" incident began shortly before 9 a.m. Friday, March 4, when a caller "indicated he put bombs at a specific location" on school grounds, said Hackensack Police Capt. Darrin DeWitt, the officer in charge of the department. Area streets were closed down and students and staff were moved to safe locations, the captain said. Student Filmed At Morris County Bus Stop In ‘Suspicious’ Incident, Police Say
A student waiting at a Morris County bus stop was filmed by a man behind the wheel of a sedan in what police are calling a “suspicious incident.” The student was filmed near the School House Lane-Mount Pleasant Road area in Mendham around 7:50 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, township police said. The suspect vehicle was a silver sedan driven by a man in his 30s or 40s, authorities said. “Please be vigilant at school bus stops and report any suspicious activity immediately,” the Mendham Township Police Department said.

A Warren County middle school was placed under lockdown Tuesday morning after a student was found with a weapon and fled the building, authorities said. School Bus Carrying 12 Children Crashes In Jersey City
A school bus carrying a dozen students struck a parked car Monday morning in Jersey City. The privately-owned bus was parked near Stuyvesant Avenue and JFK Boulevard when it rolled into a parked vehicle around 10:10 a.m., city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said. None of the students, ages 10 and 11, were injured. The driver of the other vehicle, however, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, Wallace-Scalcione said.

A hammer and knife were recovered and one person was injured in a pair of unrelated lockdowns that had students panicking at Union High School Friday, authorities said. A Parsippany Hills High School cut himself while trying to climb out a first floor window during a Friday morning lockdown, authorities said.
