Jersey City's Dan Hurley Honored With Key To The City The accolades keep coming for basketball coach Dan Hurley. Hurley, who recently coached UConn to the 2023 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, is being honored in his hometown of Jersey City by Mayor Steven Fulop with the Key to the City on Tuesday, April 25. The ceremony will be held inside City Hall at 5 p.m. Before he got into coaching, Hurley played at St. Anthony's High School for his father, Bob Hurley, and later at Seton Hall University. North Jersey Catholic School Dean Tried Meeting Teen For Sex: Prosecutor A North Jersey high school dean of senior students has been fired after being arrested on accusations he tried meeting a teen for sex, authorities said. Didier Jean-Baptiste, 54, of Jersey City — a dean at St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in Newark — arranged to meet a person who he believed was a teen for sex in Harrison, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The crimes did not involve any students, Suarez said.  Jean-Baptiste was charged with luring and child endangerment.
